People have also saved many lives with guns.  Criminals are the ones who kill.  If guns were not available to them, i am sure they would find something else to kill with.

If every US citizen were to be disarmed with the exception of criminals the number of gun deaths a year would be but a fraction of what it is today.

I'm so freaking tired of guns I'd like to see everyone without one even if it means the criminals are the only ones using them.

On principle, it is right that if only smart intelligent people who guarded carefully their guns had them, all would be well. But anyone who is aware of the school killings and other major  gang gun incidents knows that the reality existing is not good. I feel that the NRA should concede a little under the present circumstances. Also, the ' right to bear arms' under the Bill of Rights was under completely different circumstances of the day and as such, does not pertain in this civilization ( or lack thereof)

"Guns don't kill people, people kill people." is the quote you're looking for.

I don't think the adjustment makes any sense either.

Most people with registered guns aren't involved in any sort of violent crimes at all. They are shiny toys, to be fired off from time to time, and to keep for a feeling of assurance in the home.

Illegal guns are a different story altogether.

Black market and unregistered firearms are usually in the hands of the people that kill people.

Guns are cool, if they weren't kids wouldn't pretend to play with them. It's people that aren't cool.

That would not be true.  I own 4 rifles and one shot gun and have not killed anyone
