you must (stay in or use reasonable means) to stablize the government and insure that the people have basic nessessities. I recall hearing about this in school right after Vietnam. That's why we stayed in Korea and Vietnam. I'm not sure about the stay in or reasonable means part but it was something to that affect.

  1. U.N Rule, LOL, thats funny. geez, i dont think I've laughed this hard in a while...

Back to all seriousness, the United Nations was created as an organization to facilitate peace... keyword word being facilitate.. it doesnt enforce peace... nor will it.

  2. I like how everyone answers with the fact that the U.N. is some evil dictatorship.  Let us recall that the U.N. was created for peace among the nations a couple years before WWII.  Actually they do alot of work, but they do not publicize it like other governments do like the U.S., Cuba and e.t.c.  In fact there are many conflicts solved becasue of the u.N. Now I am not saying that the U.N. is the best and has done everything for us, but we need to open our view  and not RELY ON 1 ARTICLE OR COMMENT to be knowledgeble about the United Nations.

For example the I.A.E.A. (International Atomic Energy Agency) branch of the U.N. recently found out that Iran has been secretly running centrifugees that may just be potential weapon and the closest concept to Bush's idea that the Middle East holds "Weapons of Mass Destruction".  That branch of the U.N. prevents other nations from suddenly blowing eachotehr up, and guess what? Nations DO GET punished for such acts, and the U.N. is composed of OTHER NATIONS, not a couple of corrupt leaders.  Go on their website for goodness sake.

That rule was made because before workers and people use to burn their own fields and create guerilla groups to secretly attack the opposing forces.

Ok, so EVERYONE says each part of politics is evil.  But its evil because we tend to not know a da*mn thing about it.  Nor do we even know what is going around the world.

  3. I believe what you are refering to  is the Part in the Geneva Convention, and I think it was in the fourth part.

But that is not the whole reason we stay in those areas.  More like we intend to stay until they throw us out and try to run their government.

  4. yes, but they forget about it if the US is the one trying to stabilize things, because they think the US is evil, even though we pay about 1/4 of their total budget (more than $5,500,000,000 is what we pay)

get US out of the UN now

  5. Probably - but the UN is a wacko anti-American entity!

  6. I'm not sure of that but why are you so concerned about the U.N. when they are one of the most impudent and corrupt organizations in the world today! The U.N. does NOTHING except shuffle useless pieces of paper. They have NO true jurisdiction over countries and are nothing more than a glorified, worldwide complaint department.....
