Isn't there a certain tempurature that if it gets too low then school gets cancelled?

  2. Well, it depends on where you live. I've had to go to school in -35 degree (C) weather (that's -31 in F). Brrr! But I live in Finland.

  4. Well, it depends upon where you live.

    1.  The superintendent of each school district decides when to close school.

    2.   It depends on weather conditions.  In some states, if the wind chill factor is way below zero, it may be too cold for students to walk to school and back home.

    3.  It depends on whether or not the weather will improve (warm up, for example) as the day goes along.

    So, plan to go to school and pray for a "snow day."  You never know!

  5. I have live in the mountains of Siberia and there is no excuse of missing school  when I was growing up I spent 3hours one way then the horses would pick us up if it got below 20 we were home schooled ha it made you strong as iron

  7. If its too cold to go outside without your skin getting damaged or if the road freezes over or are filled with snow I guess.

  10. yah if its close to zero and thats w or w/out a wind chill..like the real temp could be maybe 20..but when u add the wind chill its 2 degrees..then it would be cancelled..and sometimes if its like above 8 then they might just have a delay..its all dif

  11. Here in Colorado it doesn't really matter the temperature. If there is no snow/rain that could turn to ice and be potentially dangerous, we don't get a day off. I have gone to school in  -5ish (without wind chill) degrees Fahrenheit. It depends, I guess...
