  1. Yes and

    .. . ..

Fuel shortage is the wrong word

    .. . ..

Out of fuel is more like it

    .. . ..

When the crude oil is gone it is gone crude oil does not reappear out of rocks

    .. . ..

Where it came from is still a debate no one can be sure of

    .. . ..

There is not one documented case that shows animals dieing and turning into 3/4 a trillion barrels of crude oil in any oil fields locations

    .. . ..

  2. there has been overwhelming evidence for a long time.

Read Plan b by lester E brown

    or watch David Attenborough`s documentaries

Or a documentaries called strange days on Planet earth.

Animals are going extinct as never before ,we are witness to a mass extinction  equal since the days the dinosaurs .

half of the worlds forests have gone in the last 300 years

and half of all the rainforest`s in the last 50 years.

    Wide spread desertification

    Potable  water shortage

    loss of Glacial ice

    soil ,air and water contamination

whole eco systems of coral reefs and fish have disappeared

Record temperatures in many places around the globe

today on the news Mexico city is 48 degrees centigrade in the shade.

record rainfalls ,and subsequent floods in Europe,Asia ,Africa Central and South America

Most People In North America are far removed from Nature Or the disaster Areas ,and wont believe it until these things touch them personally

  3. I do believe not enough respect is given to our planet earth,

not only by Corps. But to each and every one of us from one degree to another. still I cannot fully believe all of which some

scientists say or don't, as they all do not agree. And Al Gore

is not a professional, all is book got him was fame and $$$$.

Yet, I keep an open mind to all possiblities.

  4. is there 1 person on eart or at least in america that has done everything they can...recycle dont drive etc..no... i see i get the thumbs down and i wasnt trying to be mean but honest..who has done thier part? some do but no one has done all they can..do u drive a 4 cylinder? do u recycle? do u carpool? do u conserve on water and not use dishwasher? do u turn off water in between teeth brushes? there are so many and i could go on?  Everybody needs to point finger at themselfs or we will have energy problems..lets go windmill and if u mean it stand in the streets and demand..Now let me ask again..Who has done everything they can?  thumbs down again im sure

  5. if we actually used our eyes we would see all along what they were saying...people who ignored them are the ones who make money of the environment.

  6. yes they were always right

  7. realitiy's got it pegged. its a self fulfilling prophesy!

they've opposed & prevented any increase in energy production methods since the 70s.

they even oppose hydro electric dams & nuclear plants that produce virtually no pollution.

the result is we can no longer continue to function on  our 30 year old infrastructure & it will take at least 10 years of national deprivation to correct this  mistake.

solar power? the sun only shines at a useable angle for 8 hours a day in mid winter & we cant store electricity, so we will have to depend on other power sources for the other 16 hours.

wind power? it takes 10,000 commercial wind turbines in an 8 mile per hour wind to equal the power of 1 average nuclear plant.

each turbine requires at least 2 acres of land.  the power can only be transmited 100 miles or less. & they are only usefull in places with reliable wind.

before the coming energy crises is over I would not be surprised to see environmentalists lynched from light poles by mobs of angry unemployed people. they've certainly earned THAT right.

  8. Environmentalists predicted a lot of things right, thats for sure. But they didn't predict everything right. Most of what some of them got wrong just dealt with timing, though...such as when we'd start paying the costs of global warming, cutting down of rain forests, etc.

A lot of what has kept environmentalists at bay though is the power of agency capture and the power of corporate lobbyists overwhelming environmental activists. Also big businesses have funded private committees to publish phony science that often refutes many of the key issues like toxic chemicals in products and the effects of global warming. They've also thrown a lot of soft money at politicians to support legislation that secures their vested interests.

Additionally you've got figureheads like Rush Limbaugh that take this  phony science and run with it, yet the average listener and supporter cannot discern the validity of his claims. As a consequence you've got a uniformed populous that is more concerned with getting the next Hummer H2 than it is with ruining the natural landscape and worried that preserving the environment is a HUGE threat to the American economy--even though more environmentally conscious nations like Japan, Germany, and much of the rest of the EU have such strong economies now.

  9. I'm going to have to side with Reality Man on this with everything except for the points he made on the cars at the end.  Some of us who own those "Gas Hogs" flat out "own" those and don't want to take a beating selling them.  No one is thinking about what a loss we would take by selling off our Caddy's right now.  Does anyone care?  I'm not asking for pity but I am paying for my own gas.  I think all of his points were very valid.

  10. Yes.

  11. Nope.  Way wrong.  Plus, I really resent it (and the rest of you our there should as well) when the people who were instrumental in CAUSING our current energy problems now say something as blind-sighted and arrogant as “See?  We were right!”  Folks, we can thank environmentalists for a large portion of our fuel problems.  (Thanks a lot, three cheers for ruining our economy, nut jobs.)

    1) They've (through protests and lobbying) crippled our oil production by making it illegal -- or at least extremely difficult -- to drill for new oil.

    2) Ditto for constructing new refineries – the lack of which, by the way, is a big cause of our current gasoline shortages.

    3) Ta da!  While other countries (like France) have moved ahead and put nuclear power plants on their electrical grid, we in the US have been stymied by these ‘wonderful, caring’ people.  (They love the world so much that now you can’t afford to drive to work.  Sweet, eh?)

All of you who are crying the blues about fuel prices can thank these over-the-top wackos for grinding our vital energy development to a practical standstill.  After we wise up and start ignoring these nut-jobs, it’s going to take years for our production to catch up with demand.  The answer is to START NOW!

Sure, I’m all for electrical cars (hmmmm….where does the electricity come from?), hydrogen cars, solar power etc.  But let’s wake up quickly kids, before it’s to late.  The environmentalists are WRONG, and YOU are paying for it.

(And of course, we should give ourselves credit for buying Cadillac Escalades and Hummers so that we can drive the gas pigs -- alone -- to the mall to shop.   Thanks, morons!  BYW, how's the resale value on that pig doing?)
