Isn't there something i can download that let's me take pics on my computer.?

I always see my friends go on webcam and they have a software that permits them to take picsture of their computer, what's the software called?

Most webcams come with their own software that can take snapshots of you.  In addition, there are many other programs out there that you can use.

If you're talking about a something to capture what you see on your monitor and make a picture from it, that's a screenshot or screencap. My favorite software for taking screenshots is MWSnap, which is free. You can also hit your "print screen" key, then open a program such as Paint, and paste the screenshot in and save it.
