Isn't there supposed to be like ribbon twirling in gymnastics?

  1. "Ribbon Twirling" is done in Rhythmic gymnastics. It starts on the 21st.


  2. yes, they have ribbon twirling. It isn't necessarily called that though. Gymnastics is split into two groups: artistic and rhythmic. What you mainly see is artistic. The other field of rhythmic is where ribbon twirling takes place as well as rope, hoop, ball, and club. They will follow artistic gymnastics at Beijing, if televised.

  4. Yes, it's called rhythmic gymnastics and it starts on Thursday.  

  5. I'm fairly certain that's more dance than gymnastics.  They don't do ribbon twirling in the olympics.
