How about, "the measure of a man's greatness is measured by how he treats his family."  I read so often about great historical figures who abandoned their families to go off and pursue a dream, thus achieving greatness.  I always wondered how mom and the kids made out.

It makes good sense to me. One who can get along with the issues and faults in one's own home can make due in the world, which is basically just a larger home where one must go to school, work, and live.

As a matter a fact, I think I'll turn that one in to my teacher as a quote of the day. I think she'd like it.
