Isn't this absurd?

Why do lots of people with SUVs worry about going over little curbs? What's the point of an SUV with off-road capabilities if you're scared to drive over a small curb?

Because 99% of SUVs nowadays are just grocery getters and the drivers behind these SUVs DO NOT have the capability to handle a vehicle off-road.

OR!

They just don't want to scratch their precious grocery-getter.

i'm still afraid that i'm going to flip. but i still prefer an suv

to a car, they are so low its scary.

Firstly, we are all taught to follow the rules, and driving over curbs is breaking the rules.

next, some one might notice and think the person is a bit of a weirdo

then, fear that you will be unsuccessful in your curb hoping venture

but most importantly,. neither the driver nor the 4x4 vehicle have  seen anything as challenging- they have never been off road and don't know what it is like or how to do it!
