I live in a small city of 9,000. We have a very good school system and a tight-knit community. I know good and well that s*x ed is taught and it's a good program. I have 2 daughters in HS, 1 in middle school and a son in upper elementary.

I was volunteering at a Teen Night at our local Elks lodge and overheard a group of 13-14 yr old girls talking about if you drink a soda that a boy buys for you, you can get pregnant with "Babies in your Esophagus"! WOW!

I don't know who their parents are, but I'd sure like to have a chat with them about proper parenting. What's your take on this?

  1. they probably heard it from a friend or from school not from thier parents. Actually you can teach these girls that it is not true and in addition tell them that s*x is not for kids, not for singles but for adults with husband or wife..

  2. this is just silly

  3. I wouldn't blame the parents. It's not like the parents told them that. Probably just one of their stupid friends...

It's not a big deal. Really.

  4. they were obviously kidding.

  5. They probably heard it from a friend and they most liekly know its not true, my friends joke around like that a lot, don;t worry about it

  8. its because nowadays teens believe everything they hear. i honestly think i'm responsible with s*x because my school system started sexual education in 5th grade. they started out with talking about periods and what not. then 6th grade they talked about s*x and stds then in 7, 8, and 9 grade i had s*x ed. now a days i think they only have to take s*x ed one time and thats its. its stupid

  9. no don't talk to there parents ive heard that before, but it's just sillinesss

  10. Are you sure they weren't joking?

Teenagers aren't as dumb as most people think they are.
