Isn't this crazy?

Until lately, the only thing I knew was that my dad's side is Italian, and my mom's side is Native-American. But when I looked closer, at our genealogy, I found out that my mom's side wasn't all Native-American! We were somehow related to the Frank family! And when I chatted with our neighbors, one of them had ties to the Van Daans! Crazy, huh? Isn't it?

What Frank family are you talking about?  What Van Daans family are you talking about.

Not everyone with the same surname are related or shares ancestors.  

Usually the further back we go into our family tree, we find other things.

Really? I thought that the last members of the Frank family have already died.... Are you sure that's what it says in your genealogy?
