Isn't this illegal?

I'm so mad I could spit nails! I just received an unsolicited free introductory issue of Playboy magazine. Luckily I don't have any children to intercept this piece of filth BUT I do not appreciate the dirt mongers at Playboy sending me this trash! What should I do?

Tear off the mailing label and write "Return to sender! Delivery refused! I don't want it!" and such things. I've done it several times.

You must have checked it out or you wouldn't know it was filth.  I bet you were amazed at the beautiful women.  I even bet you compared breast sizes.  You are not fooling anybody.  I bet you really liked it.  There is nothing wrong with that either.  Lighten up.  Live a little.

Did you recently sign up for a magazine subscription with a door to door salesman, or someone who approached you in a parking lot at a Walmart or mall?  If so, these people have a reputation for signing you up for the wrong magazine.  I've had it happen twice.  I signed up for Martial Arts Magazine, but instead I received Maxim Magazine...so I called Maxim, who in turn said they couldn't stop the subscription, that I would have to deal with the company I signed up through...who of course took my money and ran.

I would suggest you call Playboy's customer service/subscription line, and ask why you received it/who signed you up and see what you can do.  Especially if you did sign up for another magazine, you want to get what you paid for, not that.

Throw it away, put it in a paper recycling bin? I do not think Playboy will send you another one. If they do, you can complain to them.  

Only one time have I recieved a promotional item for porno, and it was addressed to the guy that used to live at the address. He hadn't even lived there for several years.

It's not illegal, it's the snail mail version of spam... simply put a return to sender on it, and then send it back to them..

Throw it out and don't subscribe to the magazine. It's just promotional, nobody's forcing you to read it.
