  1. From an American, yes.  They all are.  We don't really get why you keep them around, but we think it's quaint.

  2. What have you ever done that is so special gives you the right to call anyone useless?

  3. he and his family promote britain and bring in a lot of tourist most of them americans a lot of his work is charity work which bring in a lot of money and promote their work which they need to carry on you dont know what his work load is so give the guy a break us british are proud of our royal family and our culture you got to remember they did nt  ask to be born in this role and i think they do a great job

  4. Afraid so.

  5. these people are human beings to.  they can't help what they were born into.  I'm am not a royalist, but I think they deserve as much respect as you do.

  6. More so than the rest of his brothers and sister.

  7. You can't spell waste, I bet Prince Edward can.  brrrpt!

  8. they are all bloody useless

  9. Nope, I don't think anyone is a waste of space.  Not even you, even though you don't seem to be very kind.

  10. To Americans, Prince Edward may seem a bit of a Dan Quayle. But, he cannot wage war, or block legislation passed by a government in the way President Bush used his 'personal veto' to block the bill on embryonic research. So much power in the hands of one person? Wasn't that what the founding fathers wanted to avoid???

Of course  in the US they get to choose a head of state and if they get a poor example, they can choose a good one next time. Maybe this time they will. Lets face it, they can't go another forty years without. Sorry, - that's not entirely true. The peanut farmer was quite decent

  11. Not just Edward - but all of them. The French and Russians had the right idea when they abolished their aristocracy - we should do the same and establish a Socialist Republic.

I'll be first President and Chief Commissar!!!!

  12. I manage 'Woolworths',in 'Alice Springs'.

His Royal Rogering may stack shelves, guaranteed.

  13. yes he is a waste of space.would you give him a job.i don't think so?

  14. Well he's somebody's father, somebody's son, somebody's husband, somebody's brother, somebody's uncle........

    WHO ARE YOU ?

  15. Like all his siblings, yes.

  16. the whole royal family is a bunch of freeloading buffoons and if it were up to me we'd be a republic tomorrow

tourists come to see the buildings not the witless goons who rob us to live in them

  17. All the Royals are a waste of space, except Harry.

  18. Are we saying any of the royal family are worthwhile?

  19. No, he is not a waste of space. The Earl and Countess of Wessex carry out a full schedule of Royal duties on behalf of the Queen, receiving civil list monies from the Queen of £141,000 per annum. The Earl has, in recent years, succeeded to many of the roles of his father, the Duke of Edinburgh, who is reducing some of his roles, owing to his age. The Earl replaced him as President of the Commonwealth Games Federation (since 2006 its Vice-Patron) and opened the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Malaysia. He has also taken over the Duke's role in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme (which is very fitting given the understanding that he will become the Duke of Edinburgh upon the death of his parents).

  20. Maybe he couldn't get a job in Woolies, but I also doubt if he actually cares about not making the cut.

If *you* could get a job in Woolies, just think, you're so much more successful than him. After all, what's he got, mansions, cars, a loving wife, plenty of money, family support, trips overseas, holidays in exotic places, servants, somewhere to go on a Saturday night ...

Whereas you, well you've got ...

Hmmm. Well, I guess you've got all of us!

    Cheers :-)
