Isolated english cottage?

Me and my boyfriend want to go away for a long weekend in September but want to go somewhere really isolated and quiet, can anyone recommend anywhere?

  1. England's population is usually clustered and they are big on natural cover so you often don't need to go far from the edge of a town to feel like you are in the middle of nowhere there.

    My personal recommendation would be the New Forrest or Cornwall or the Cotswolds . Northern England has lots of remote cottages but they are mostly only good if you're into morelands etc.
