  1. Use normal graph ruled paper, a 45-45-90 drafting triangle, and a 30-60-90 drafting triangle.  The vertical lines are your verticals. For your 60 and 30 lay the long side of the 45 triangle on one of the horizontals, hold it tight, put the 30 or 60 on the 45 and slide as needed.  Re-locate the triangles CAREFULLY as needed.

  2. Draft/draw with 30-60-90 triangles, like using a ruler when you don't have graph paper.  Isometric grid is based on 60-degree triangles.

    Good luck!

  3. 30 degrees from the horizontal is the standard angle to come off to show depth.

    Example:

    Draw a 2D box.

From the Top Left, Top Right, and Bottom Right you should draw lines rising up at 30 degress from the horizontal

The 'invisible line' coming from the bottom left is often not shown, but if it is doing something non-symetrical, it can be shown as a dotted line.

  4. People still do manual drafting ? That's as

    obsolete as the dodo, daddy-o.
