  1. The return of the hebrew dead to our land of Israel has a distinct relationship in the Jewish religious belief in the comming of the Messiah.

On this forecast occasion, the dead are supposed to regain their physical form on earth and continue to live as res-erected people. Naturally, the first to undergo this process will be the ones who are buried in our Holly Land, which is why so much emphasis is placed on retrieving the bodies.

I find this attitude almost as quaint as the 72 virgins that are in wait for the souls (and bodies) of dead Muslem heros. I suppose we all have our pecular ideas about what happens after death.

  2. Because it is worth it for the families of those dead...

  3. Dead Israel's are worth more than live Palestinians that's why.Israels keeps it's prisoners alive and Palestinians kill there's(Islamic morals)

  4. because either families want them dead or alive

  5. The families need closure and Israelis are also getting more than just bodies. I still don't agree with who Israel is releasing though.

  6. Probably for the same reason the United States will give up whatever is neccessary to get our brave heros killed in battle back.

  7. I guess ersatz israel was out maneuvered by the Palestinian freedom fighters.

  8. The negatives are several and far-reaching: Our security will be further undermined by the release of someone who has vowed to kill again; justice will be undermined by the terrorist being released in spite of his crimes; and we will be shown to be a cooperative partner in a bad trade at best, or in its own extortion at worst, and in which Hezbollah would believe that springing additional terrorists just involves killing some more Israelis and then using them for trading stock. It's a bad deal.

There are families to consider. But they also probably perceive that this does not involve the validity of a prisoner exchange, wherein only the permanently incapacitated are traded.

This whole thing is an unfortunate comment on the thinking of our government. No other people on this planet would ever   consider trading healthy prisoners for bodies.

And it shows, of course, the crude inhumanity of Hezbollah in effectively holding the grieving survivors hostage, something that most of the world is proficient at taking no notice of.

  9. because in the Israeli army, they treat life and death with great respect. Also, they NEVER leave a man behind. No matter the situation, they will even risk lives to get back men dead or alive.

shows you just how great and respectable Israel really is.
