Aided by a strong batting performance, Israel managed to claim a 6-wicket victory over Spain in their Group A match at the Marina Ground on September 5, on day 3 of the ongoing European Championship Division Two Twenty20 being played out in Corfu.
Spain stepped up to bat first, with Armaghan Khan (33) and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Tariq-Ali-c92775 (18) opening for their side. Their partnership lasted 35 runs, after which Tariq Ali, unable to replicate his performances from day 2 of the ongoing tournament (he scored a 148 against
Portugal and followed it up with an unbeaten 150 against Estonia), was taken out of the game by Eshkol Solomon.
Armaghan Khan followed soon after, run out by Kapila Perere, but his successor – wicketkeeper batsman James http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Morgan-c77707 – top-scored for the team with 37, in addition to setting up a 46-run 3rd-wicket stand with Christian Munoz-Mills (24).
Their efforts got the team up to 108, after which Munoz-Mills was run out by Solomon. Tanveer Iqbal (23) followed him to the crease, but only managed to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Adrian-Roger-Kirshaw-Pierson-c42135 it out long enough for a 27-run stand with Morgan before skipper Herschel Gutman removed him from
the crease.

Opening for their side, skipper Gutman (43*) and Daniel Hyman (42) set the tone with a solid opening stand which yielded 60 runs. Their partnership came to an end with the dismissal of Hyman at the hands of Armaghan Khan, who followed it up with the wicket
of Solomon (4).
Josh Evans proved harder to dislodge, however, as he went on to contribute an individual total of 34 runs, in addition to setting up a 63-run partnership with Gutman. The two got their team up to 127, after which both Evans and his successor http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Gabriel-Schachat-c58291
