  1. They grant citizenship to all Jews; if your mother is a Jew, then you are a Jew. This is in accordance with Jewish law.

  2. Yes, by birth. Here a link of Israeli Nationality Law.

  3. If your parents registered you with the Israeli government as a "Citizen born abroad" then you are....I'm guessing this isn't the case, since you would know if you had a "goverment issued i.d. number" or a T.Z.

If you want your citizenship, your parents need to fill out a form with their t.z. numbers (or passport #'s) and take it to your local consulate.

  4. yes

i am a citizen and my son was born in canada and became an israeli citizen

  5. Israel is the only state in the world where you can claim citizenship on the basis of your faith. Even if you Catholic could you claim citizenship in the Vatican, or if you Muslim you couldn't calim citizenship in Saudi Arabia, or if you Hindu could you claim India to be your homeland.

  6. By birth

A child born to an Israeli citizen (including children born outside of Israel as first generation out of Israel) is considered an Israeli citizen. Persons born outside Israel, if their father or mother holds Israeli citizenship, acquired either by birth in Israel, according to the Law of Return, by residence, or by naturalization . In other words, the principle of jus sanguinis is limited to only one generation born abroad. Despite this limitation, the descendants of an Israeli national abroad can obtain Israeli citizenship through other methods, such as the Law of Return, if they are eligible.
