  1. we have a very strong army! and I believe Iran is not that stupid! we can kick their *** with or without US

  2. we don't need assistance ,buddy.

if you're referring to weapons being supplied ,i wouldn't call that an intervention really.if you're referring to u.s military support,i don't see that happening.

we managed just fine in every war we were forced to fight.

why is it a foreknow conclusion than there will be a war?

let's hope there wouldn't be one.

  3. I believe so.  And I would support our involvment.  Israel is the land of Gods chosen people.  And as an Irish Catholic, I believe God will help and protect those who support the existence of Israel.

  4. Israel has the power to take care things by itslef:)!!!

    So don't worry at all!

  5. Yes! just like the US is Intervening with Israel right now and like it did in '06 with the Lebanese war

  6. Not an israeli... but

they would kick butt with or w/o US.

If the US would go into war... which in such a situation i would hope we would... I would hope that we would invade... but not stay long.. just take out all military instillations... overthrow a couple beurocrats... and leave

  7. ''US intervention''?

where's the money and the soldiers going to come from? They're all in Iraq remember

  8. do you really think they'd need it?

i mean, like, when they were 20, they destroyed Egypt's entire air force in like 6 minutes. and now, if egypt and jorden wont attack them, and iraq is in civil war, and the other countries are too far away... who would they fight.

i think israel could still attack and easily defeat a combined iranian/syrian/lebanese army, so why not just iran? that would show him.

  9. ummm.  Israel has not lost a war in their 60 year history.  I don't know what you are talking about with this 7 day war against lebanon.  Israel never went to war with Lebanon.  If you are talking about the summer of 06, they went to war against the hezbos that happened to have fortified themselves in Lebanon.  And Israel dominated that conflict on every battle front for the entire duration.  Just because CNN and Al Jazeera said Israel lost, that does not make it a fact.

Israel did lose a lot of standing politically for that effort, that could be what you mean.  If that is the case, then you are arguing a moot point.  Israel has never really cared what the rest of the world thought of them.  While you people sit behind your computers in Canada, France, England, the United States, etc, the Israelis are fighting for their right to exist.

To finally answer the OPs question.  I can tell you as a former member of the United States military, that we would come to the aid of our allies, as they have come to our aid many time over the last couple decades.  As a someone who has seen the training and technology of the Israeli military first hand, being in Haifa and Tel Aviv, I can tell you that the US would only need to supple naval support, as the Israelis are 20 years ahead of Iran in all aspects of military theatre.

End result, it would not be fair.  The Israelis would handily dispatch the Iranian armies.  The real fight would be in the halls of the United Nation (which is already the second most anti-semetic organization in the world) to help and aid the people who get caught in the crossfire.

  10. Israelis are taught that the only people they can rely on are themselves. Relying on US intervention would only cause a big problem if it didn't come through.

Iran is not going to attack Israel. Ahmadinejad is stupid, but he's not that stupid. And by the way - in 2006, Israel dominated Hizbullah. Saying otherwise is not going to make it any less true, and honestly, it's not going to matter.

Think of it like this: in 1948 the Israelis fought against the Arab armies that attacked it (within 48 hours of its formation) with old handguns and kitchen knives. Now, we have an organized militia. We have tanks. Our guns are bigger and our knives are sharper.

Iran attacks us - then what? What happens to the oil its economy is so reliant on? And if the US comes to Israel's aid, and Iran stops selling oil to the US, what happens to the Iranian economy? There's a reason the 1973 oil embargo just barely lasted until 1974 - and the reason is that rich oil barons love their money more than they hate Israel. Any kind of embargo just isn't convenient for them.
