Why does it take Israel so long to approve paperwork??

I got in trouble once saying that a bureaucrat is like a nail, he  works for one year than they "remove hisr head" no one can fire him, and at the same time he stops producing.

The Mistadrut protects him.

If you want things done you must complain, send letters with details to all, מנכ משרד, מקר הדינה and so on, good luck.

Yes, yes, yes.

That's one of the reasons why I had to split Israel. My Israel no more.

Simple things like a building permit or a driver's licence renewal can take up to ...three months if you go the normal way.

But, there's always the good ol' Shyster way , he he he:

Bribe, bribe, bribe and get some benefit of the corrupted Gov. mechanism.

Belive me because I was a 100% Jew living there for more than 25 years on that land.

The government agencies are generally very disorganized, however if you ask really, really nicely usually they will speed up the paperwork.

Why does it take so long to Israel to approve paperwork?

I'll tell you why. There is a tight budget, we pay alot of taxes like in a socialist country, but they keep all the money for theirself. The goverment are cheap and hire only alittle people so they will spend less money.

Thats why you need to wait 30minutes to get your passport stamped in Ben Gurion Airport... They are too cheap to hire more people to do their job so there are alot of people waiting in online 1 line.

Same reason it takes so long in the USA, UK, France, Canada, etc.     We all have our own bureaucracies to deal with in our home countries.  The US typically has AT LEAST a 4-6 week turn-around time on all government paperwork.  All governments work very slowly.

It sounds like you have some "specific" paperwork in mind.

Remember Israel is not constitutional democracy. Colonial national interests above all other people rights.
