Issac Luke of New Zealand disappointed with his side’s performance: Rugby League

While talking to reporters on Monday, October 17, New Zealand hooker, Issac Luke, stated that he is not very happy with his side’s embarrassing display which led them to a 6-42 defeat against Kangaroos on Sunday, October 16, in the Test match at Newcastle.
Luke was brilliant in a game that was otherwise a complete disappointment for the Kiwi's as they were brought down easily by Kangaroos who scored a total of eight tries in Sunday’s showdown.
Luke was angry with his side’s depressing performance, which did not cooperate with the prop in bringing their side closer to the target laid down by Australian side.
While speaking about disheartening performance, Luke said that his side did not perform well at all and that they could have pushed harder for better results. The kiwis prop further added his side’s game “was not of international standard that is for sure,
we are a lot better than that, the scoreboard doesn't lie."
Moreover, it was added that their side was going pretty strong when the regular season ended for them and they were confident with their form and health status. However, the equation had changed entirely after Darren Lockyer was hit by kiwis prop, Russell
Packer, in the very first minute of the clash.
The Kiwi coach, Stephen Kearney, also acknowledged that his side had put up a very poor show at  Ausgrid Stadium, meanwhile the opponents of the clash had entertained the huge attendance to their fullest with their excellent form.
While pointing out the short falls of his side, Kearney stated, "We just didn't hold onto the footy hard enough, the first 15 minutes you have to get yourself into the game against Australia and we didn't do that. We came up with some poor defensive shots
today and if you keep turning the ball over you are going to struggle."
He also acknowledged that during the second half of the game, the players had improved on their otherwise poor game but that was just not enough
