Issue with YahooGroups?

Hi, way back in 2000, we (group of frineds) created a yahoo group. my mail id was added to that group by the group moderator (please note that it was not a yahoo mail id). Recently, the moderator changed my name as the moderator and now i am getting all the join request from other friends who wish to join this group.

The problem now is that i am not able to logon to that yahoogroups since i didnt use a yahoo id to join the group in 2000.

i am getting the mails and able to reply to that group with that mail (non yahoo mail id) but i am not able to get in to accept the report or do any moderation activity. your help to solve this issue would be great.

is there the owner around at all now? someone needs to go to the members list, click the moderator tab and next to your e-mail address, click Request Profile, so you can link a yahoo ID to the e-mail address.

this link has a Membership Wizard, not sure if it'll work since I've never done it
