Issue with trying to play mpeg2's on my computer.

I couldn't find a listing for my exact computer. It's an HP Pavilion Media Center but a1214n. Differences i notice including mine has a 3Ghz processor and only 512mb ram. Anyways, I have alot of mpeg2 format discs that I usually play on a regular dvd player. When i do they play perfectly normally. No picture issues. But sometimes some of the discs have little issues that a dvd player can't seem to push through while my comps dvd-rom has little or no problem with them. The problem i come across is when i do play the discs on my computer the picture experiences an issue where when the pictures moving too fast the edges of figures in the picture flake out. Fairly certain it's not a screen issue. I run my comp to a nice 32" flat screen and have no issues with other video types or even the mpeg2 discs when played on a dvd player. I even tried saving a disc onto my computer thinking the issue might involve how the dvd-rom reads them but the saved files experience the same issue if not worse. I'm trying to figure out what's causing the video issue and if i can do anything to take care of it.Thankyou for any input that might help me. Extra info on my computer, looking up what it has video-wise it says it is integrated with 128 MB of allocated video memory. Intel 945G chipset? dunno if that has to do with the video^_^
