  1. An aligning of forces, continuing the dance to ensure that if and when the nukes start flying, we (the West and Europe that is) will have the moral highground.

  2. Sum up?  whoo...  I'll try.

-We continue to occupy Iraq and bring security to the nation by tracking down terrorists and potential other threats and helping the country work its way into independence from a U.S. military presence and a stable democracy where the people make decisions using a voting system as we do.

-We continue to occupy and search Afghanistan, weeding out terrorist threats and handing out aid to help the people and gain further U.S. support from more middle eastern regions.

-Syria seems to have built a nuclear plant with North Korean assistance, which Israel promptly destroyed so that Syria doesn't become a nuclear threat.

-Iran is stalling on talks with the U.N. to take it off the list of potential threats.  They talk one day and won't the next.  This stalling technique is not uncommon for Iranian government.  If they successfully build a nuke or get close to being able to, Israel will blow up the plant for its own safety because Iran will use any excuse to use such a nuke on Israel ( many arab nations hate Israel ).

-Israel and Palestine continue to argue over things like Israel's strict border watch and rockets fired into Israel from Palestine by militants.

-Iraq and Afghanistan are current projects that are showing some results and shouldn't continue to be large-scale U.S. military concerns once the countries are stabilized enough to be self-sufficient, the big concern is going to be Iran.  They have been fairly uncooperative in the past and continue to shake their fists at the U.S., the U.N., and Israel with missile tests and spoken warnings.  They may feel that the unpopularity of the Iraq war means that they can do what they want because many Americans and Europeans won't support a U.S. led war against Iran, but if they launch a massive attack on Israel the U.S. and U.N. will most likely respond with force.

I hope you find this helpful.

  3. hopeless and getting worse.

  4. Well I was going to answer this but after reading Mr Blobby's reply I don't think I could have put it better. Great answer, good to see someone who actually knows what's happening in the world and doesn't rely on wikipedia or Fox for their knowledge.

  5. Afghanistan

Offered to hand over US creation Osama bin Laden on production of evidence of 9/11 complicity which GWB said he had.  Bush invaded instead - mainly to avoid having in his hands the fate of the son of his Saudi owners.  GWB panicked again when his troops trapped ObL and capture was imminent - immediately diverted them to Iraq.  Remainder floundering and Bush trying to revert to usual US practice of destruction then flight to leave others to clean up US mess.  Evidence has yet to be sighted - probably as substantial as Iraq WMDs

    Iraq

Puppet Saddam's regime looking shaky so Shia repression and wedge between Iran and Saudi Shia threatened.  Ridiculous 9/11, then WMD, then spreading democracy slogans against own puppet laughed at by world but economic threats brought them to heel.  Again looking for way to cut and run but 60% Shia population means great risk of democracy breaking out, accommodation with Iran and encouragement of Saudi Shia to rise against extremely brutal repression of Islamic dictatorship which owns GOP along with US arms industry.

Iran accepted the two states on internationally agreed borders solution along with the rest of the Arab League when Palstinians did 3-4 decades ago.  The US/Israel axis of evil has consistently ignored, blocked and lied about this since.  Iran also signed up to UN propsal to put all fissile material under international control - guess who killed that idea.  US made Israel a nuclear power although signatories of the non-proliferation treaty.

    Israel

Has consistently, with US support and connivance, encroached on Palestinian territories reducing them to unviable concentration camps where even the basic services like water and electricity are controlled by Israel.  These are constantly under Israeli terror campaigns with plane, missile, helicopter, and land-force strikes and kidnappings and assassinations.  The rare Palestinian missile or suicide bomb is the excuse for a further year or so of genocide.

Hamas in southern Lebanon is a similar story with a UN report noting that the constant rain of missiles cited as the provocation for missile and landforce invasion consisted of one instance in six months which was retaliation for Israeli violation of Lebanon territory to kidnap citizens.

All of this despite numerous, I think about sixty, UN resolutions.    It is no coincedence that neither of the US/Israeli axis of evil accepts the jurisdiction of the International Court of Justice or the international Criminal court.
