Issues with Yorkies?

I'm getting paid for my grades this school year and already have a lot of money saved up so I was thinking of buying a yorkie. I really love dogs and since my mom is an Assistant Vet I would get everything cheaper like medicine and vet check-ups wise. So for all of you Yorkie owners out there..... How Much Does A Yorkie Cost Yearly?

I don't have a Yorkie but i was looking for one, and they're like 1 grand...

So i got a shih-tzu instead. and he's adorable!

I've had a Yorkie for the past nine years and she's the most amazing dog. she was 800 bucks, but that was nine years ago. so it's most likely more expensive now.

the food isn't that expensive and if you cut her hair yourself it saves a lot of money. one thing that is a little spendy is teeth cleaning. this is very important because if you don't take care of their teeth it can lead to a range of other health problems. we take our yorkie once a year and it's about 80 bucks.

soo with the teeth cleaning, food, toys.... i think you might be lookin at maybe 100 to 150 dollars a year. (excluding the first series of shots)
