Question:

It's 60 degrees out, 1 mile into my run I can see my breath. Good or Bad?

Then after about 1/2 mile more it stopped, but the sun shining, the temperature and the small breeze were the same.

I did put a bit more effort into my first mile, because I was trying to outrun a horsefly circling me (either I did, or he gave up).

I felt fine before, during and after my run.

Thanks for any input!

  1. You can safely run in temperatures below freezing, so running when it is 60 is not a problem.

Your breath condensing is a factor of humidity and temperature and doesn't mean anything.

As long as you dress correctly you can run in very harsh weather.

  2. Just because you can see you breath does not mean that there is anything wrong with you. It's the weather that's making you see your breath, so don't worry, there's nothing wrong with you!

  3. your cardio and lung capasity are probably not up to snuff for your new pace..it'll take a while for it to get comfortable..and try breathing in through your nose for 2 beats then out through your mouth..it should sound like  *snuff*snuff*blow*snuff*snuff* blow*
