Question:

It's 6:17 PM, & it's usually light @ this time. Why does it look like night time here (it's raining)?

But still. Even when it's raining, it's usually not this dark. I'm here in North TX.

  2. the light level is determined by both the angle of the sun and the height/density of the clouds. if the sun is at a low angle it's light must go through the cloud near it's base, and travel within the cloud for many miles. if it is an especially high cloud the light must travel a greater distance from top to bottom. this absorbs light so that you see less of it.

  3. Thats what I have been wondering. It's been raining the whole week, and still is. :/

  4. Pardon me but it's only 5:17 and it's not dark and it's not raining.
