Okay so I use to be a all night person, which of coarse worked out great for my Hamster, Hammy, because I could let her out in her ball and roam free when she gets up at like 3 in the morning. Well now I don't stay up all night, instead I go to bed at like 8 at night and get up around 6 or 7 in the morning. Well I haven't been able to let Hammy out these last few mornings because my mom is sleeping out in the living room and I don't want to wake her up. But the last few days when I wake up Hammy is sitting on top of her hut with her two front paws pressed up against the glass of the tank staring out! She looks so sad. And is soon as I step a foot out of bed she gets oober excited! My room is really small and there isn't much floor space so I don't know if she will even enjoy roaming around in here. But also Hammy isn't sleeping during the day much either because she has soo much energy. I don't know what to do... She has a wheel but doesn't use it...

She is a huge Hamster too. Not like fat huge but like length huge. Everyone I know says she is the biggest Hamster they have ever seen. She's a Teddy Bear Hamster.

What should I do? Do you think her sleeping schedule is changing now too because she has so much energy that she stays up during the day?

  1. I think you should wait until your Mom get up too and then let the hampster out to play around. Especially if you won't be there to see.

  2. aww thats cute!!

my mouse does that sometimes..its hard to ignore haha

im sure she will find places to go in your room. so i would let her roam in your room for only 1 hour because they will need water and their food.

  3. can you let her out and go back to bed? if she is in a ball she will not be able to escape. you can leave some food for her as well. but you will probably need to get up again and put her back in the cage because she will be peeing in your room if you just let her run around till the morning.

you can also wake her up in the evening before you go to bed, play with her then put her back and go back to sleep. or even go to a park or a lawn she will become much happier.

  4. try buying her a hamster ball or if you already have em its a great way for them to roam around and not get lost or run into venrts or anything since the bal is too big to fit in any nooks and crannys like a hamster could the bonus aboiut a hamster ball is that it comes with a stand so it could work as a wheel too .

    hope i helped :)

  5. Do you have any other rooms you can put your hamster in?

Would you be able to swap rooms with your mother?

    I'm just suggesting things.

I can imagine your hamster and it makes me so sad to visualize her putting her front paws up, so I would do something for her because I would hate for her to be sad like that!

    Hope this helps

  6. Let her have fun in her ball in your room and go back to sleep, sh will be fine she just needs out of her cage. You will have amuch happier Hamster and your will be too. Best Wishes and Good luck with your Hamster. We just adopted a bird named jellybean he is adorable and can talk. It was love at first sight.

  7. maybe wait for your mom to wake up, then let the hamster out, or if your not home, ask your mom to let the hamster out for you when she wakes up.

  8. put her in the ball and go back to sleep..........

  9. Buy an exercise ball, put her in it ,she'll run.  If she gets tired, she can sleep in it til you get up.
