Would you ride your bike? If you do, what would you wear to keep warm?

Anyone rode their bike even when it's so cold and windy? I'm not racing I just want to go out and enjoy the evening. Love the fresh air!

  1. Being a scot i know about the cold. The best thing to do is to rub an menthol cream on your exposed parts, hands ears, etc. If you have a kagoul,or wind proof something light,it will stop you from sweating.

  2. wear some thermal under your cloths.*

  3. good winter riding coat and gloves....leather pants and an extra pair of socks... just be extra careful... as cagers are even less likely to expect someone out on a bike in those conditions....

  4. 29 is bad enough, but when you add that wind, it makes it worse, how much wind depends on what the wind chill is. the stronger the wind, the colder it will feel. I know I love fresh air as well, but let's not go overboard. Until the temperature warms up some, say to about 50 degrees, I would skip the ride.

  5. Ride your bike ...... on a race track of course, as this is the racing section.

  6. I wonder why you stated "not racing" ???

  7. Rode all weathers, the main thing to remember when riding in the cold is to keep  the core of your body warm  by layers, then your heart stays warm and it doesn't take away heat from your extremities ie hands feet.

Enjoy your riding i shall be out on mine tomorrow

  8. just throw on some thermal gear and you'll be fine i use a

    electric heating jacket.
