It's College registration time, what are your views on abusing yourself with alcohol??

One young man, 20 years old recently abused himself

in BC, Canada. He's dead, he was poisoned by it.

Here are my views on alcohol in general:

If you're not 21 or older, and drink in the US, you're under age. That's illegal.

Alcohol of all types tastes disgusting.

Why would anyone willingly get themselves drunk and open to the possibility of death, rape, or amnesia?

It's a sad reality of college.  In my dorm (I was a staff member), every single day of opening week some freshman had to be taken to the ER by ambulance because they got drunk and passed out.  If this is happening at every college in the US, a few people are going to get killed.  

Be responsible, folks.

Some die, some don't.  This has been going on since the time of higher education was formed.  It happens.

Any sort of binge drinking is dangerous and self-destructive.  If someone is immature enough to do that then they should not be trusted to go off on their own and be trusted like an adult.

Drinking and partying is fun. Being stupid about it and not knowing your limit can cause death. That isn't fun.
