Okay.....its like pouring rain..and the suns out....WTF.

The entire sky does not need to be cloudy in order for there to be rain. In fact, rainbows occur when the sun is out and it's raining. If sunset is approaching, take a look around. You might find one.

Have you ever seen it pouring rain on your front lawn, while your back yard is bone dry? Just one of those strange anomalies.

That can happen w/ convective weather.   Thunderstorms can be overcast but not always and in such instances you can have sun and rain.
