I am not political person at all, and have not really been keeping up with this election, so I have not heard either sides speeches or anything. I listen to talk radio a lot and read my local newspaper, but beyond that I am about clue less. I think it's time I figure out who I am going to vote for. Who are you voting for and what are your reasons behind voting for that person?

  1. Check your empty wallet.

    Check your empty gas tank.

Think about your kids empty tummies.

That should help you make up your mind.

You shouldn't want more of the same from McCain.

  2. When voting, remember that politics is basically choosing the lesser of two evils... I'm voting for McCain because with all the troops currently in the middle-east, we cannot risk all the lives that will be lost due to lack of experience.  That's not to say that I don't think Obama would make a great president, however it is not his job to clean up the mess over there, and I just think he lacks the experience to do so.  If all the troops were pulled out, the last group to go would be as good as dead... I'm just thinking of those Americans who are over there, helpless and dependent on their next Commander-in-chief.

  3. I am voting for McCain/Palin personally... it's because I truly feel they have more of the people's interests at heart and I don't like the socialist things that Obama/Biden want to put in place to only raise our taxes and not really help anyone....

But my suggestion is for you to go to their websites and read what they both have to say and try to watch the debates to hear what they have to say and then pick... because honestly no one should tell you how need to vote... you may just be going against your convictions and morals then.. .

  4. Obama, because he inspires change, and hope.

I'm NOT voting for Mccain because he makes me feel like we need to keep 'fighting' as he said in his speech. I'm tired of fighting.

However the decision is still yours... I hope who ever you choose you're content with =)

  5. Watch the debates.

  6. Obama...Democrat...better ideas...better hopes for turning things around because there is a lot in our country that is sooo messed up right now. I just don't trust McCain and don't feel Palin is qualified to take over our country if something happened to the old, old man.

  7. Watch the debates and listen to WHAT they say, not HOW they say it.

  8. i am voting for McCain/ Palin.  I watched the speeches and debates and believe Obama just is saying what people  want to hear and is flipping on a lot of what he has said.  Also I don't believe you can go to a church for 20 years and not hear what the Pastor is saying.  Also I believe they did Hilliary wrong and she should be running.  That's just how I see it.  but you should look around and decide for yourself.

  9. Watch the debates and check out unbiased websites like www.projectvotesmart.org

Don't base your vote on what anyone here tells you to do.

  10. Actually, that's good.

There are two kinds of people who already have their minds made up; Those who actually know where each side stands on what they feel is important, and those who have bought someone's public relations efforts.  The fact that you don't have your mind made up proves you haven't let yourself be swayed by advertising.

You should start with figuring out what you think the federal government should do in general.  Don't start with specifics, just general principles, like whether or not the government should or should not try to control the economy, or the environment, or require people to hire others that they don't want to hire, or educate everyone a certain way.   You need to think about the role of government.

Now, that will change over time, you need to be aware of this.  As you learn more about Politics, Economics, History, and such, you'll realize that while you may want the government to do one thing, it simply wouldn't ever work, so you really want them to do something else.  For example, I'd like the government to take care of feeding me every day, but if they do that for me, they'll do it for everyone, and if we're all being fed every day, nobody is going to go to work on the farms to grow the food in the first place, so while I want the government to feed me, I really don't want the government to feed me.

However, what you want now is what you want now, the important thing is to get clear on it, and not let someone else tell you what you want.

Then you'll be ready to find out about the candidates.  Does what they

say they want to do match your idea of government?  If so, does what they say now match what they've been doing?  If so, it would be important to consider whether what they've been doing has actually accomplished what you and they want it to accomplish.

At the end of the day, it's really a lot like hiring any other employee.

What do you want them to do?

Is that what they want to do?

Do they seem to be capable of getting it done?

  11. listen to the debates and side with whoever you can related to more..i'm for obama..but that my choice and your choice will be yours good luck

  12. don't come here for answer as most people here are trolling and also Wikipedia is not reliable.

Yes, watch the debates.  Evaluate character and their voting records, ask yourself, who you can trust the most.
