  1. If your GPA is high enough you can make up for the low SAT score, but I'm sorry I don't know if that is high enough.

  2. ur going to want to have all ur scores atleast in the 550-650 range (that is UCONNs middle average scores)

ur scores were exactly like mine the first time i took them (im guessing ur a math kid) but i was sick as well. i studied the blue collegeboard book in writing and reading and brought my score up to a 2050 (640 reading, 740 math, 670 writing)

  3. Similar to the what the others said a 1500 is what is considered average on the SAT exam. I would consider 1500-2000 a decent score. 2000 and above will get you into the higher ranking universities in the nation such as UCLA, USC, Berkeley, etc. If you are planning on going to one of the top schools in the nation such as Harvard or Yale, your SAT scores need to be from 2200-2400. I don't think any score is good for a 7th grade student. Although most of the math concepets introduced on the SAT exam are covered in the high school years, students can get a head start by learning this information beforehand. The Writing Section on the SAT mostly consists of grammar students should have mastered by the end of middle school or beginning of high school. The easiest way to improve Critical Reading scores or to get a high Critical Reading score is by reading as many books as one can.

Here are a few books I recommend using to aid your studying.

    1. TutorFox.com's sat guide: This book sells for only 10 dollars. It was written by two students, who got a 2400 and 2350.

    2. The Princeton Review's SAT guide teaches students how to solve problems they are unfamilar. The book provides an extensive list of the most frequently covered words on the exam.

Good Luck and let me know if you have any questions...
