It's been 2 months since I've had my wisdom tooth out and it still hasn't healed properly...?

At the end of May, I had one wisdom tooth cut out of my lower right jaw, and it was completely impacted in the bone. I ended up getting a dry socket, which was the most painful experience of my life. A few weeks ago, I went in to my oral surgeon for a follow up appointment and he said that it looked somewhat infected so he put me on some antibiotics. After that dose, it still hadn't started to heal properly so he gave me two different antibiotics to take at the same time. The area of the wound is red and "juicy", and looks like there is soft tissue. The weird thing is that I'm having no pain at all, but if i press on the outside of my jaw, I can feel it inside of my jaw where the wisdom tooth was extracted. My oral surgeon says that he will probably have to cut open the wound to clean it out if it doesn't start healing properly soon. I am really trying to avoid this because I had so much previous pain. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
