I'm episcopalian.

Okay, I'm a young female & I used to have a crush on my priest, and wanted to be his friend. Well, kind of b/c I'm really quiet & introverted so I don't like to talk a lot are hang out with people. It was all in my head basically.

He always pushed me away. One time I built up enough courage to talk to him after the service & say hello & ask how he was doing & he stopped me mid sentence & told me he had to go pick up his kids. I said okay and by. A few minutes later, I saw him talking to someone else for a long time.

When I went to New Orleans where his wife is from, he didn't even tell me he was down there at the same time, even though he had returned my email about a church mailing. His wife had told me, if they ever came down there they would visit me.

One day I wore a fake brand name shirt, I'm poor. And he kept repeating the name diff ways in front of a ppl at church.

Then when he took his sabbatical, I offered to help him pack. He accepted. He was 30 min. late b/c he said he needed boxes. Then, we packed for a couple of hours. During that time he gave me two gifts. One was a mini rug from Africa & the other a 10 y/o old emailing device w/addresses still in it. He said it was old & there was nothing he could do with it. He then said he wasn't doing anything else for the day, and I left w/o him giving me any contact if. I asked him what he planned on doing he said visiting fam, consulting, & kids stuff in Aug.

One time he saw me crying b/c I was really hurt about something. He didn't acknowledge my tears.

He has said and written to me good things like I'm such a good soul, he's never seen me be mean to anyone, & I have a lot of talents & abilities. But he never acted like it.

  1. Being anglican is only a small part if any in thiss problem you feel you are having.  My guess is that he is trying to NOT givethe appearance of having thoughts or feelings about  you.  Being a member of the priesthood, your bishop has to hold himself to a higher standard than others.  It looks like that he is taking precautions that make sure that he is not appearing to be doing any thing other than your bishop.  you see, if you were to go to him when you and he are alone, he would open the drapes, windows, and doors so that everyone could see he was NOT doing anything wrong with you.  If he did not do this, then people might whisper about you two, and he would own the sin of their gossip because he gave the appearance of doing something wrong.  I hope that helps clear your heart hun..
