  1. Go back to your normal diet.  Do your research on nutrition for vegens.  Plan your menus and start again

  2. if it had a face/eyes it is meat . Peta.com has good tips on going veg I just eat fruits and veggies most if the time I can never find anything to eat ,food is just 1 part of you life so if you only eat when you have to it won't seem so bad just eating fruits and veggies hope this helped=^..^= p.s watch out for gelatin that is meat always read whats in your food

  3. Here is the answer regarding fish and chicken:

Culinarily speaking, chicken/duck/turkey is poultry, not meat. Fish is fish, not meat.

However... all are biologically animals. If you don't want to kill animals, don't eat fish.

What I eat is a hard question to answer. I eat what other people eat, just without meat in it. When I go out, I order pasta dishes, giant salads, soups, stews, curries, etc. It's easy enough to get them without meat. When I'm at home, I eat the same thing.

If it's hard for you to not have a meaty entree, try investing in some fake meat. You can get fake burgers, sausage, bacon, and crumbles (like cooked ground beef). Just make your portion with those. If your family is having lasagna, ask Mom to set aside some sauce before she adds the sausage. Assemble your own little lasagna using the sauce mixed with your vegetarian alternative (even veggies are great here), the cheese, and noodles. Put it in a loaf pan to stay together.

If your family is having chili, just make yours with double beans and no meat.

For awhile, you might wind up eating a lot of extra side dishes, which is fine as long as your family gets a lot of variety. (If your family only eats canned corn and rolls as side dishes, you'll need to start cooking for yourself more often.)

Remember, beans, seeds, and nuts are your friends.

  4. Fish is generally considered a meat.

I'm not sure about at home, but this website has a list of vegetarian and vegan options for a lot of fast-food places and popular restaurants.

  5. well, fish is an animal, and i pretty much consider animals meat. but you can argue that on a technical level.

It's realy easy to easy delicious vegetarian meals. For example, today for lunch i had a cheese sandwhihc with tomatoe, alfalfa sprouts, spinach, basil and mustard. Just put whatever veggies you like. You can also put hummus.

I cook a lot for myself and my favorite dishes are usually satueed tomatoes with mushrooms, eggplant, and spinach. heat the pan on low heat, chop up a couple tomatoes, chop up some egg plant, put some olive oil into the pan, throw in the eggplant, cook for about 2-4 minutes, add in sliced mushrooms and chopped tomatoes. add italian herbs, basil, garlic, salt, pepper to taste. at the very end toss in teh spinach (it will cook within a couple seconds). of course, you can use any vegetables you want. I love this on its own, but you can cook some pasta to eat it with.

Try salads. Satue some red bell peppers and corn in a pan with olive oil, chili  powder, salt, and lime juice. set aside. in a bowl, toss baby spinach, chopped tomatoes, avocado, fresh bell peppers, and cucumbers. add in the satueed corn. sprinkle with feta cheese, goat cheese, or parmeson, and add balsamic or italian dressing (or make your own with olive oil, mustard, and balsamic vinegar). You can add some croutons, pita slices or chips, or toasted corn tortilla to the salad for carbs.

Soups. Buy veggie broth cubes at the stores. In veggie broth add in your favorite veggies, plus spices.

Pizza. Get cheese or pizza with vegetarian toppings.

Tofu is really good. Buy the extra firm kind and cook it with your meal just like any other vegetable. you can buy veggie or boca burgers (boca burgers taste really similar to real meat!), soy sausages, hot dogs, lunch meat, beef, chicken, etc etc. really, there is A LOT of fake meat out there. My favorite brand for soy sausages are Tofurky. My favorite brand for hot dogs is Smartdogs. The Smart- brand also has REALLY good chicken strips. the beef strips arent that great, but the chicken ones are delicious.

    hope this helps!

and if youre still having trouble finding somethign vegetarian to eat, just take whatever meal you have in mind, and simply take out the meat!

  6. Meat is the flesh of any dead animal, thus fish is meat. There's no way around it.

Good for you for making the change! There's tons of stuff in your pantry and kitchen to eat, especially if your family eats a balanced diet. For example, everyone's favorite peanut butter and jelly sandwich is a completely vegetarian option and easy to make. A bit boring, but always yummy. You can spice it up by substituting a fresh banana for the jelly.

Here's a quick example of a day's worth of meals. You can Google for recipes on any of them:

    Breakfasts:

Oatmeal with soy milk, raisins and bananas. Cook the oatmeal like normal and then stir in the raisins and top with bananas and a little milk.

Toast with peanut butter and a piece of fruit.

    Tofu scrambler with fresh veggies.

    Sweet potato homefries.

    Lunch:

Falafel on a pita with tomatoes and cucumbers.

Veggies sandwich with hummus and sprouts.

    Veggie burgers with fresh veggies.

Pasta with olive oil and sauteed veggies.

    PB & J.

    Dinner:

    Spaghetti with faux meatballs.

    Bean and rice burritos.

    Vegetable, bean and tofu enchiladas.

    Veggie lasagna.

Grilled vegetables, especially bell peppers and mushrooms.

    Vegetarian sushi.

Remember, ALL vegetables and fruits are vegetarian ;) So eat them!

  7. There's a multitude of options, but giving them on here would be a waste of time. Go to this website, it was EXTREMELY helpful when I first started out.

You'll see tons of recipes, meal plans, and even shopping guides. Good luck. :]
