  1. dont but new

  2. fe

  3. Yes, you could hire me to threaten the dealer.

  4. Don't buy and brand new car.. my reasons are:

-The price depreciates extremely after just driving it off the lot

-There hasn't been time to figure out what typically happens to the motor after so many miles and work out all the other kinks any new product will have

-The same car with 15,000 miles on it you can get for thousands of dollars less

Another thing I would do when considering a specific car is call the insurance company, what do they say about the cost of your insurance.

If you currently have liability only, realize if you will be buying your car with a loan from the bank, they will want you to have full coverage and that is an extra cost.

Most vehicles on the lot (unless brand new) are priced over what they will take.. because they want to haggle and get the best deal.

Example: A car you like is 2 years old and is priced at 12,000 thousand dollars. They might take anywhere from 9,000 to 11,500. Offer them a price lower and see what they come back with.

Test drive, test drive, test drive.

Look up the car in kelley blue book and nada.

Look up what other people think of the vehicle (specifically motor wise) at www.rateitall.com

  5. if yur looking into buying a new car you should look up major models such as chrysler, jeep, ford, chevy then look threw their stock of cars see which is in your price range then look at the fetures again see what you want from the car after you pick colors and styles and modifications then look up the estimated payments after that check your bank and look at their deals if not shop around with banks, go to the local retailer (which each website will let you know location) then speak to them about what you found and what you want it makes it sooo much easier.

if you are looking for  a pre-owned or want to trade in you should look in you local newspaper or advertisment paper and check the deals out there pick something you like and price range then go the place you found let them know  and they will find something or exactly what you want.

  6. Tip 1) Don't by new get one that's 1-2 years old.

Tip2 ) get loan from bank or other lender of your own

Tip 3) Buy from individual...no tax and lower price.

    mazdas are good cars

  7. You can use www.Autoweb.com and it will ask you what you want in your vehicle, year, etc. Then you send off your info then a couple of dealerships in your area with what you want will have the fleet manager, or fleet dealer contact you. They are the ones that give you the best price known as "fleet Pricing."

  8. Check for anti-lock breaks, air bags, automatic/manual transmission, city/highway milage, if the radio system and air conditioning cost extra (most cars they do).

I was looking at the Mazda3 lol idk what the difference is between 3 and 6 except that 6 is bigger..? i dunno?!

    Check safety features. They're important.

    Good luck!

  9. I would first say: take your time if you're able to. no reason rushing into a decision that could come back to bit you (in an expensive manner)

research what you'll be using it for.  needing to travel?  just for work?  need to haul wood for a particular reason?

check your states inspection rules and regulations.  i know in Minnesota, dealers don't need to inspect the car.

check around the area and ask people which lots to buy from.  go there and see how you're treated as well.  i've left many a lots that have treated my wife and I horribly because we came up in a old busted car.

when you intend on buying end of the month is the best time to buy cars, if you're looking to buy used from a car lot.

you should love you're car and feel great about the process.  shouldn't be stressful.  you're getting a new (or used car in my case that was newer).  so enjoy it .

hope this helps.  i talk a lot.

  10. All I can say is dont let them sucker you into paying for stuff. Thay always like tacking on extra "fees" and stuff. Remember, if they want your business, they will do almost anything to make you happy.

  11. i just bought my first new car, and it was a great experience.   my own tips for getting the best deal and feeling good about it:

check the blue book value for your trade-in (if applicable), so you'll know approximately what it's worth and what the dealer offer should be.

get pre-approved for financing through your bank/credit union or a private lender, such as capital one.  you can compare the rate and loan terms to what the dealership offers and decide which best meets your budget and needs.  it's also a good negotiating tool...

look around at different dealerships - mazda, carmax, etc. and compare prices.

find out the difference between prices and interest rates - you may find the cost is similar to buy a new car at 0% or 2% interest than to buy a used car at 6% or 8%.  edmunds has calculators that can help with this and also one that compares a rebate vs. a low interest rate.

know the invoice price (what the dealer pays) for the car you want to bu; they mark up the sticker price significantly but usually you can negotiate down to within about $1000 over invoice.

when they try to sell you the "extras", GAP coverage is a good idea because it protects your investment but for a new car; you shouldn't need an extended warranty (brand new car should work well!), fancy alarm system, etc. but that's really where dealers  make their money. be polite but firm if you decide to refuse these.  you can also sometimes purchase an extended warranty at cost + $100-200 (instead of the usual $800-1000 markup), just by being frank and asking for it.

be confident, have a price ceiling in mind, and don't allow yourself to be talked down to, pressured, or otherwise intimidated.
