It's my first time eating at a restaurant without parents?

How do I pay for the meal? I'm going with a friend. Do i just give them the credit card? And what about the tips? Do they include the tips in the meal charge or do I have to put it separately on the table?

15% -20% of your bill is typical for a tip. you can figure out the rest.. it isn't rocket science.

it all depends on the restaurant.  sometimes you have to take the money up to the register and sometimes they pick it up.  i am assuming that you are going to a restaruant that will pick it up.  just leave the card on the tray and they will pick it up.  they will bring it back to you with a receipt for you to add tip and sign.   when putting in the tip and easy ways is just to double the tax.    have fun

I like to pay for my meal with a Credit Card, but leave a cash tip on the table for the server.

First of all tips are 20% now, not 10%-15%. If your dinner is $40 leave an $8

You can either pay cash for the tip or when they swipe the card there will be a place to add in the tip before you sign.

I personally try to leave cash on the table as to not fret the waiter that we stiffed him.  Try not to leave the tip all in ones.  Put the tip in between the glasses or salt and pepper shakers.  I agree, if you are taking a girl make sure to pay for hers as well.  That will make you a gentleman, and a romantic.

If you are just going for coffee still tip about $2-$3 to make it worth tying up the table for an hour without eating any food.

Uhm, okay well they will give you the check [that little black folder that your parents always put their credit card or cash into] and then when your waiter comes back give him/her that black folder with your form of payment in it and they will come back with the credit card/change if there is any. Then just leave the tip on the table.

you should always tip 15%, you can use the calculator on ur phone if you need to :)
