It's my gf's bday and her friends planned a real expensive dinner... what do i do?!?

take in note, i already bought an expensive spa treatment for her, i planned a night for her and me to go out to our own dinner by ourselves and i'm a college student with no money to save my life!!! this dinner is real expensive... like 30 to 40 per person so i'm looking at the long run about 100 + being dropped cause we have a big group (that stupid gratuity charge for groups!) what can i do to save my situation?

Dont feel obligated to pay. Just tell her you had planned something for just the two fo you and if she would like to hang with her friends they can each pay their way.

Let her friend's take her out to dinner on a special "girl night" [that's how you excuse yourself from going] and let her know that you have your special night all planned out for just the two of you.

Her friends planned the dinner, let them pay for it.  Take her out to dinner by yourself when it is a good time to do so and give her the spa gift.  That is all you need to do.
