It's nice to get an opportunity in the IPL, says http://www.senore.com/Cricket/M-Morkel-c73528 - Cricket News Update

Satisfied with his stint with his IPL franchise, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Delhi-c780 Daredevils, so far in the ongoing season five of the lucrative Twenty20 league, the South African fast bowler, Morne Morkel, has said that getting an opportunity to play in the esteemed tournament was
nice and vowed to continue with his good form in future as well.
"It's nice to get an opportunity in the IPL,” said the South African while speaking to the media reporters ahead of his team’s second qualifier against Chennai Super Kings on Friday, may 25, 2012.
“I knew that with the quality that we [Delhi] have, I might only get a handful of games, so it was important for me to grab my opportunities and luckily, things have gone well for me and I have made a permanent spot for myself,” he added further.
Morkel, who has played 16 of Delhi’s total 17 IPL games so far this season, is the leading wicket taker of the franchise with 25 scalps in his name at an impressive average of 18.12. Its not only his 25 wickets that played a crucial role in Delhi’s impressive
performance this season but he has also played the role of a match-saviour for the team at more than one occasions. His devastating bowling in the death overs saved a number of games for Sehwag led Daredevils, as the side finished the round http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mahbubul-Alam-c73802 league stage
of the IPL 5 at the top of the table.
The 27-year-old Transvaal fast bowler however, talked against complacency saying his ultimate goal is to lift the trophy for the Delhi-based franchise.
“But there's no complacency, I have to be on top of the game every day,” stated the right-arm medium pacer, who is the current holder of purple cap.
"Besides, as a team, we'd like to lift the trophy all the way and I'd like to be part of it. So my biggest motivation is to do really well for team this year," he added further.
After losing the first qualifier to Kolkata Knight Riders, the Delhi Daredevils will play defending champions Chennai Super Kings in second and last qualifier tonight, and should they win they will once again face Knight Riders in the tournament final at
Chepauk on Sunday.
