  2. well, if ur having suicidal thoughts, then that's never normal. Sorry to say it, but you really need help if you ever have ANY thought of suicide.

  3. A ship at sea for many years picks up thousands of barnacles that attach themselves to the bottom of the ship and eventually weigh it down, becoming a threat to its safety. Such a ship ultimately needs its barnacles removed, and the least expensive and easiest way is for the ship to harbor in a freshwater port, free of salt water. Soon the barnacles become loose on their own and fall off. The ship is then able to return to sea, relieved of its burden. You are carrying around barnacles in the form of mistakes, regrets, and pain from the past. Perhaps you need to allow yourself to soak in fresh water for a while.

  4. These answers are lapsing into melodrama. There's an enormous difference in looking over a cliff or something and being exhilarated by the danger and imagining the things that could go wrong, which is just another mild sort of thrill seeking, just feeling that shot of adrenaline as you imagine the onrushing car or free falling, whatever. This is hugely, massively, different from looking at a dangerous situation and LONGING for it to go wrong, hoping for death. To speculate about what death would be like, even by sort of staring it down, is about being aware of the fragility if life and ultimately our own mortality. To desire death, to try to intentionally hasten it, is illness that should be treated. When you find yourself wanting to go over the rail, or not caring if you do, its time to seek help.

  5. As long as they do not interfere with your functioning in life..

  6. Most people have these thoughts.

So its normal, as long as your not thinking

of taking some else with you then thats just wrong

  7. If you are feeling suicidal, there is a reason for it. You have some repressed memories or pain that is trying to get out. You may be able to resist these thoughts, but suppose you were a little drunk ( I don't know your age, so I don't know if that is legal for you) or you expereince some serious stress, you might do it.

Once you do, there is no turning back. You will hurt so many people that LOVE and CARE about you. There are so many friends and family that would be so devastated.

You MUST find out somehow what the source of these thoughts are.
