Does this lyric from Sheryl Crows "Soak Up The Sun" bear resonance to you?

In other words do you feel that this is one of the most profound things to say to yourself?

  1. It doesnt make sense.

"It's not having what you want,  It's wanting what you've got"...

Why would you not want something new and want what you already have?    Kinda crappy I think

  2. No it is not profound, it is lyrical gibberish.  You think the poor folks in Darfur want the starvation, drought & war, 'cause that's what they got.

Sheryl Crow has written a piece of middle-class bullbutt.

  3. This is the true essence of happiness. I completely believe it. But it's hard to achieve...

  4. Well, yes. l always look on the good things happening in my life and l'm always happy. The bad things are there, l just choose not to focus on them.

  5. That's actually how I try to live my life and the attitude I strive for.

  6. A resounding YES. :)

If you can't appreciate what you have, you will not appreciate fully what is to come.

It is best not to focus on the the thing that is appreciated, but your ability to appreciate.

    :)
