Hi,

I was just wondering if this is a real problem or if it is just me being weird...

If my mom or dad says no to something, I start freaking out. I'll start crying and huffing and puffing- I don't mean to. I'm not spoiled or a brat or anything, it just happens. A couple months ago, I really needed to go to CVS to get some shampoo and conditioner, so I asked my dad to take me (it was a sunday, i needed to wash my hair and this type of shampoo/condit. works best), and he said no, so I like ran to my room and started freaking out. It sounds like something a brat would do, but really, when it happens, I want to stop and everything, but I just can't... its just weird.

Any ideas? Thanks.

  1. I had this exact same problem! Except I've had this since I was 6, and it stopped just recently. I used to do it all the time and it wasn't because I was spoiled either! My parents always said "oh you are just spoiled and hate to hear the word no!" but i really don't mind it. This is just a period of behavior that can be controlled. All you have to do is breathe before you start freaking out, and think "Is there a way for me to get this without freaking out?" Try asking for things ahead of time, example "Hey dad, i'm running out of shampoo and conditioner, would you mind taking me to CVS to go get some sometime this week?" You just have to breathe and think before you freak out, and remember that there are bigger things to worry about.

    That's what i did!

  2. What do you mean " It's not puberty "

What else could it be ?

Personally, i think it sounds like PMS. I think your periods will come soon.

  3. It has to be puberty!!   I mean your hormones kinda sound like there outta wack.

Either it's that or your bi-polar.

EDIT: Yea your totally normal.  Even though you haven't had your period, you're still going to act all weird.  Trust me this happened to me.  I also think it means your going to get your period soon. Good Luck!!

  4. don't worry, it's puberty. your not mental or anything. teens are known to be like that, you never know how they'll react. like i use to come home from school crying over things i normally didn't care about. or if i didn't get something i would be really mad. or if my sis said something to me in anger, and i knew she didn't mean it, i would really take it personally and start crying. or sometimes i would be cranky. its a phase, i've had several. we'll all go through them. don't worry

  5. It sounds like anxiety. or maybe a little OCD. sometimes i feel like i have to do something or its not right. like when i come home from work, i have to put my stuff away. my husband says it can wait and i can go do other stuff first, but feel weird if i cant do it when i want to. i feel like something is just wrong, you know what i mean

  6. Either its anxiety or puberty with all your emotions!

  7. your probably about to get your period

    just hormones
