I am planning to buy disney (orlando) tickets online, I am planning to go only four days to magic kingdom, animal kingom, MGM and Epcot center. However, If I buy the tickets with Hopper option, it increases the price by 50 us per person but if I buy the 5 day (no hopper option) tickets, it increases the price by 5 dls. So I was thinking to use the fifth ticket the same day (only one day) as another one, where I plan to visit two different parks in one day. that's possible? when you buy online tickets do they give you physical tickets the first day you get there? thanks

  1. yes you can do that and i think that is the much smarter way to do it. i've done it in the past.

what happens is if you are not staying at a disney hotel then the tickets will be mailed to you. each person gets one ticket. the ticket has come pre loaded with the amount of days that you have purchased. then you just go to the parks and stick it in a machine that deducts a day from the ticket. so you can certainly just go to one park and one day will be taken off then go to another park and the machine will just take another day off the number of tickets you purchased.

if you are staying in a disney hotel then what happens is you won't get a ticket mailed to you. when you get to the hotel and checkin they will give each person in your group their own room key and that room key "key to the kingdom" will also double as your park ticket. it has the tickets pre loaded just like the way i wrote above. and you use it the same way by putting it in the machine. and the room key if you chose the dining option will also have your dining credits put on it. and they will be computerized so that when you swipe it like a credit card when you eat one meal per person in your group will be taken off. and you can hook your room key up to your credit card account and use it just like a credit card at the stores in disney so that you don't have to carry your credit cards around with you.

  2. No, you're not able to do that.  The tickets are scanned when you enter the park, and will read that you DO NOT have a park hopper AND that you've already been to a park.  So you'll either have to pay for the park hopper option or just go to each park for one day.

I'm having the same problem with the park hopper option.  I'm surprising my family (there will be eight) with a trip to WDW next year, and adding the park hopper to eight tickets would add $400+ to the cost of the trip!!!!  I'm thinking about adding a day to the vacation instead of adding the park hopper option.  I think it comes out cheaper, and we'll get to stay longer!  Maybe this will work for you too!

  3. I think that if you had a distinct ticket for the extra day - that would work BUT I think that you get one ticket (actually it's like a plastic credit card and what you paid for is on it.  I would guess if you bought the 4 one day tickets online and the extra day ticket somewhere else - you would have 2 distinct tickets that would not be scanned as one.

You can easily do Animal Kingodom EARLY and MGM later in the same day unless your kids are a littel younger.

If you are staying on property - there is always a park open early or staying open late for guests so with that option you may not need the 5th day. (unless you have whinny kids)

  4.   Yes, you can use the tickets the same day in more than one park, as far as the rest of the question I'm not sure as we buy ours from the local Disney store, which is cheaper than at the gate.

  5. If you buy a 4 day base ticket you have admission to one park a day for 4 days.

If you buy a 4 day hopper ticket you have admission to as many parks in a day as you want for 4 days.

You can not use 2 base ticket days in one day.  That is why they have the hopper option.  So, although the price is cheaper for 5 days than a 4 day hopper, you can not get into multiple parks a day with the base ticket.

Yes, you will receive the tickets when you get there.  When I book at 407-WDISNEY I know that when I check-in I will receive my tickets.  You will also have that option at that time to place a credit card on file so any purchases you make while in the World are charged to your room... better than having to carry a seperate credit card around, I guess.

    Hope this helps

  6. You are getting conflicting information, so here is a link to the correct answer: http://www.allearsnet.com/pl/ticket.htm

You CANNOT use a ticket twice in one day unless it is a hopper.  Disney realizes that it would be cheaper to do it that way, so if you put your ticket in the machine at a second park, it will NOT let you in.  You can only re-enter the park you have already been at.

They will give you the tickets to get in when you check-in to your hotel.

You can just go to one park a day.  Personally, the only park that I get bored in and cannot spend a full day is Animal Kingdom.  Hollywood Studios is also a smaller park - personally, I love that park and love doing the rides multiple times, so it always takes up a full day for me, but if you only do everything once, you could do it in a half-day.

  7. Not easy because the parks are so far away from one another. The one way I did it was to visit Magic Kingdom, then get on the monorail that goes to Epcot.
