It's ridiculous for southeastern Michigan libraries to orchestrate these types of gaming events?

Im 16 and I love video games but I also love books and volunteer at my local library but my biggest pet peeve are people who make noise at the library! I already can't stand how many small children come to "play" at the library, but this also seems to be undermining the true value of books. I barely know anyone my age who enjoys reading which is evident at my library because one day I pulled over a hundred books from junior fiction(ages 7-12) because they hadn't been taken out in the last five years, and I don't even know what the amount is for teen books because they had to increase the waiting period because of it.

I agree, we have a tough time getting kids to read in the first place, and these people seem to be defeating the purpose of what a public library stands for.
