Question:

It's so annoying!?

I have just started at a new stable with my new pony and I am getting really annoyed. my riding instructor (and other people on the yard) keep complaining about how anti-social my pony is and are always moaning about her. I love her to bits and just because she didn't cost £10,000 like all there horses did, they think she is worse then theirs when actually she is just as good!

What do you think

  1. "sir you can say whatever you want about me, but i'm gunna have to ask you to stop talking about my horse that way" - hidalgo

they don't stop making fun of his mustang so he punches the mocking guy haha!

i know how you feel well as long as you love her , just ask them nicely to stop thinking she's completely worthless

no horse is worthless not even a dead one...sooo they have no idea..

i'm really sorry about this is it possible too switch stableS? it's no good riding where you can't be free and comfortable..

I think that your pony is priceless and that you stick with her! she needs someone to love her and you need her as well

continue loving and riding and cherishing every moment with her.. those other people may be sterotypical, but that just means they are in bondage to there mind and not free to love and accept like you and you pony

i'm so sorry the've hurt you like this

if i was there i'd probably have hit a few people haha thats bad though so don't do that!

i guess all you can do is defend you precious equine and ride you best!!

  2. I hate those kind of people! i paid only 750 dollars for my horse, and she has amazing color like no other, an awesome gallop, and isnt afraid to go near anything or loud nosis like most horses.

I would just ignore them. I bet your horse is better then all of them!

  3. awww...i'm sure your pony is just as good as the other ponies and horses their!! I hate when people do things like that when they haven't been with the horse and you have and they just start complaning about what they think they're like when they haven't been with them. You just started a new barn and your pony is probley still ajusting to the barn!! don't listen to them!!

  4. you should just ignore them! it is not their horse so they shouldn't be worrying about it! There is a horse at my stables that nobody but this one girl can ride and she is fine with her!! just be like well she is good for me and walk away..idk lol

  5. I think you should move your horse to a different stable if you are that unhappy.  If moving her isn't an option, you should stick up for your horse.  Say "Hey, I love my pony.  Just because she doesn't want people to hang on her doesn't make her bad.  Please be kinder,"  then walk away and ignore them.  However, you need to be careful not to say anything bad about their horses or be rude--you don't want to sink to their level.  Good luck.

  6. I think you should stop worrying about what other people think or say.

I think you should learn to set your own goals - identify who you are now and who you want to be tomorrow then set goals to achieve that change to become what you need to be.

People will often try to tear down another person to make themselves feel better.  Maybe you and your pony are not the same type of animals they are - so what?  Did you come to the stable to be part of the "in crowd'?  If so, and I don't think you did, you came there for the wrong reason.  You should be focused on goals for you and your pony.  Reaching them should be your measure of success and standing in life for yourself.

Never measure your self by someone else's yardstick - it could be slightly bent.....

For your riding instructor - is she just complaing at an annoying habit your pony has or is she really that stuck up that she'd diss another person's belongings or goals?  If she really is dissing the pony, find a place more comfortable for you and the pony or tell the instructor in a very nice way how you feel.  She may not realize that her remarks made in an offhand way affect your feelings.

I have a question back for you - it appears as if you're in Europe (England?) because I see the symbol designating something other than dollars by the cost of the horse ... I think many people from overseas are here - and I see "pony" in the description - is this a general title for what we Americans call a horse?  To Americans a Pony is under a certain height - over that it's terms a horse.  I'm trying to understand if when you say "pony" you really mean a small horse - not that it matters just curious.

But really - if you let 'em get you down, they will - show 'em you won't take their snippiness and it doesn't affect you.  Love your enemies, it really ticks them off  ;-)  Go to the stable to reach a goal with your pony and then do it.

  7. Just ignore them. When ever they make fun of her again, just say that it doesnt bother you, and you love her anyway

  8. I like the second persons opinion/answer!

  9. Tell them to leave you alone and stop annoying you and tell them that you got the point that you pony is anti social and it is not there problem. If you really wanted you could move some where else. I would be mad  and annoyed too.

  10. Don't worry what other people think of you new pony. These people could be jelous of your pony. A price on a pony doesn't mean anything, it is how easy the horse/pony is to manage and the tempermate of the horse/pony. These people shouldn't comment about  your horse when they should be worring about what they are doing and not you. Any horse is just as good as all the others. You just ignore these people and you should be fine.

  11. forget them my horses didnt cost alot of money either and they are the best horses to me i know people like but who cares what they think if you like your pony that much then it doesnt matter about other peoples ponies hope i helped :)

  12. If they really are moaning about her, then there is not much you can do about it, except either ignore it or ask them to stop. You never actually said whether your horse is or is not anti-social. All you say is that you love her to bits. Which is a good thing! lol, but maybe if she has a bad attitude you can fix it.

Also, how do you know that they think, because she didn't cost as much as theirs she is worthless? If you KNOW that they are making those comments purely out of spite, then you should tell them that they are really annoying you and  that you can't make your pony any more social then she is, and them whining and complaining isn't helping. Well... Maybe you can say it a little nicer then that =P, but anyways good luck!

  13. I agree with...the second person.

If you cant move to a different stable, then stick up for it.

its not their horse and they shouldnt even be around it or playing with it without your permission. Some horses like to be alone though or just have a hard time to get attatched to other horses.

  14. prove them wrong or stop complaining yourself.

  15. just ignore them they are being stuck up i know i am a western rider and and the english riders like to be stuck up toward us

  16. You should tell them to go kick rocks and then enter in their competitions and beat their pants off.

  17. well you should tell them this:

' look i would apreciate it if you would keep your pathetic comments to yourself. i dont go around bitching about your horse and so what gives you the right to do it about mine? she is new here and you havent given her a chance to settle in. i didnt buy her for you, i brought her for me and so therefore she would have to be pretty special if i was to spend my hard earned money on her. she may not have cost tonnes of money but its not about buying the best horse, its about buying one you will love and trust- and it seems to me you dont give a c**p about anything but being s****. and better, so the next time you say something about my pony just remember this.. SHE IS WAY BETTER THAN YOU!!!!!!!!!!'

it really pisses me off when people think they have the right to ***** about your horse behind your back let alone in front of you- so stand up to them snobs becuase if you dont who will?

    good luck!

    woop!

    lol

  18. just ignore them. you know they are wrong and thats all that matters. when people walk past you and your pony that say all these things try and prove them wrong by talking loudly to your pony and telling him how gorgous he is. people will hopefully soon get the idea that you love him and that he isnt really anti social.

    hope this helps!! :)

  19. who cares wut they say!!!

  20. To blazes with the other people who are complaining. You can get them out of your face by telling them off. But if your instructor is also complaining then it is time to move on and find a friendlier stable, but not before telling the instructor to kiss your horse's hiney as you bid good riddance to bad rubbish.

  21. Ignore them. Your the 1 who knows yuor horse the most! i hate people like that!

  22. i think they are spoilt brats and obviously they are immune to the credit crunch thats hit us all (well most of us) hard lately.

i bet your little mare is just as good as theirs, probably better actully cos shes not been bread to the teeth to get something thats so perfect but so far from it. sorry, im having a little rant here myself but i hate people like that! i think, if you are pleased with her, thats the most important thing.

you have to rember that they are probably so annoyed with her being "anti-social" because their horses are soo expensive and so covered with insurance up to their eyeballs that id they got bitten by a fly it would cost them an arm and a leg to get it injected!

but arguing to people like tht never got us anywhere did it?

i suggest you go up to them and apologise for you horse being a little "difficult" (dont put her down) and that she is just a cheeky mare! dont call her a pony, it makes her sound small, call her a mare and they may have a little more respect for her.

im sorry i couldnt be much more help but if it continues, you might have to stable her or ask for your own section of field and ride out with friends and not with them.

    hope i helped.

    x

  23. I have some of the same problem at my stables. If you are feeling isolated, I would suggest moving, and soon! You enjoy being out at your stables, and just because you have a less expensive (just as good, maybe even better) horse does not mean you should feel picked on. Look at other stables, just to have them in mind and ask others to kindly stay out of your business.

  24. Omg thats happend to me to!

Its very annoying, I just told my trainer, "I love my pony just they way he is and thats all that matters." She understood.

  25. It is inappropriate for your riding instructor to complain to you about the social habits of your pony unless the pony is dangerous or otherwise causing a problem for the equine or human public at large.

I don't know what issues are being complained about so I can't give an opinion.
