Question:

It's summer, I'm alone, and I have no where to go. What do I do?!?

During the summer, I go to stay with my Dad in another town. I only know two other people here, who I'm not very close to as far as friends go.

My Dad has a lot of medical problems, so we can't take vacations. He's also extremely difficult to be around, and live with.

I'm losing my mind being here. I miss my friends back home, who I only get to see during the weekends (which I'm thankful about).

Please help me, what do I do? I don't want this summer to feel like a prison sentence. I'm an optimistic girl, and hopeful about something exciting happening to me, but I need some help. Some suggestions.

I've thought about checking into the churches with youth programs to meet other kids.

  1. the best thing to do is to volunteer with some kind of organization over the summer in something you are interested in knowing/pursuing. it is quite easy to get such a position because they are always looking for free labor. especially recommended are hospital, library, church, etc. good luck.

  2. You can either get a job, volunteering is a great idea! Sorry if I wasn't much help. Good Luck! Please answer mine:http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

  3. You should get a job. It's a great way to meet people and it'll get you out of the house.
