  1. I agree.... NO anchor babies!

  2. There is no such thing as automatic birthright under the law.  Not anything at all that allows such a thing.  Congress refuses to deal with the issue.. would far, far rather make the American People pay for the process than obey the law.

Do a Yahoo Search on the matter.. and you will discover that a woman who is subject to the laws of our land and has a baby has a child that can be a citizen.  Illegal aliens are NOT subject to our laws.

http://idexer.com has many articles on this subject.  But the Search is better.

  3. Long since past time to end it,it was never the intent of the 14th Amendment to allow what is occurring now. People Illegally sneak into the Country, pop out a couple of babies, then use that as a way to try and stay, that was never its intent. But as long as the Courts are treating it the way they do,the only option is to Amend the Constitution to clarify things. If we are going to give Birthright Citizenship to anyone,it should only be to the children of those who are already Citizens,or at least Legally within our borders.

  4. Action should have taken place on this a long time ago.  Perhaps we would not be in the situation we now find ourselves in now.

  5. Yes just because your mother sneaks over a border to have you does not mean you should be a U.S.A. citizen. Third generation American here and my family entered Legally.

  6. It's beyond that time. It should have been done long ago.

  7. Definitely, we should have started thinking about this policy years ago.

Illegal Immigrants (notice I said Illegal, not legal) should be dealt with swiftly and severely, with no compassion whatsoever, and made an example of.  Sneaking across the border, then demanding rights and waiving your native flag in American streets is a borderline act of war/aggressions, is it not?

You want to come here? Do it the right way!

  8. Absolutely..........NO ANCHOR BABIES for one.

  9. It's way past time!!!!!!  Illegals are abusing this law and it is getting way out of control.   Also consider if an illegal gives birth via a C-section, who pays for that???   Mr and Mrs American Taxpayer that's who!!!!!!

So how is that fair for Americans????????

  10. I Agree, it is time the US caught up with other nations. Many countries only allow citizenship to pass by descent, at least one of your parents also has to be a citizen of that country - if not then you just get the citizenship of your parents.... for example - if someone traveled to the UK and had a baby, but both parents were Mexican citizens the baby would be Mexican not British........  No automatic rights to citizenship just because a child is born there.

  11. Definitely,

But only in restricted cases. I think if both your parents are illegal, then no automatic citizenship, but if even one is a US Citizen, there child should be a US citizen.

  12. Yes but we really should be spending resources on going after the sources to end the problem. If there is a leak then you fix the pipe or get a replacement, you don't just keep putting tape on it. Instead of blaming the desperate people, I'm blaming the people that caused these people to become desperate.
