It could be Sheedy's last senior game coaching what is your favourite memory of him and what would say to him?

I would say the game wont be the same without such a wonderful colourful character.

My favourite memory is the jacket waving and gesturing to Mitchell White.

I do hope it is not last we see of him.

Thanks for your efforts on making the game a great game. May you get to coach again, state of origin, or another AFL team. Sheedy may not want to, but he would be excellent with an under 18 side, teach the kids the way footy should be played.

I hope Sheedy is able to convince the league that promoting the game internationally (try the USA) would make the game worldwide, equals $$$$$$$ and there are a lot of USA bucks looking for AFL pockets.

Well yeah... Jacket waving and talk of martians were both pretty teriffic modern memories, I still like watching old footage of his playing days at *gasp* Richmond.

I reckon he should go back there to PLAY next season!!

I loved it when he feigned slitting his throat against his arch nemesis west coast - showed the absolute fighting spirit that he had as a player & has continued to show right up to the end! Good luck Sheeds, Im not a huge bombers fan, but in my books you brought alot of changes to the game through sheer persistence and will long be remembered and respected as a pioneer of the modern game. Your place in footballs Valhalla is all but assured as one of the ELITE! Vale.....

Yeah I hope he has more of a role in footy. He was a great coach. I liked the jacket waving...Only because now when the eagles win they all wave their jackets. Its kinda become a joke, but its cool. I wish him the best

while I am sure Dean Bailey is going to be a great coach at the Demons .. I am SO d**n disappointed that we didn't get Sheed's for at LEAST one year.....

Still Dean Bailey has benefited from the influence of Sheeds . .just as neale did .. and THAT has to count for something....

I sincerely hope somebody snatches him up for next season .. he should be declared by the State Heritage Listing because he is partly responsible for keeping the game fun and interesting ...
