I'm 14 and I just recently started menstruating about 2 months ago. I am currently menstruating. When I pee, It hurts bad. (This started about 24 hours ago) I'm caught between "stinging" and "soreness". It's really bad. The pain feels like its inside me pushing down on my "lower area". (I don't know which words are blocked. Lol) Sometimes right after I pee, I will feel like I still have to pee but I know I don't. Please Help. My mom is planning to take me to the doctor after work but I'm just trying to get an idea of what is going on. 10 points to whoever can give me a full explanation. It'd be helpful if you tell me how this can happen?

  1. Could be as simple as a UTI or a yeast infection, those are nothing to worry about can really easily be cured. If you've had (usually unprotected) s*x, it could be an STD, herpes or gonorrhea or something. The symptoms can be pretty easily cured, but you can't get it to go away forever and you can have future outbreaks and pass it on to other partners. I don't think your pain would have anything to do with your period, maybe the stomach pain but not the pain urinating. But definately go to a doctor! People on here, including myself, can't diagnose these things!!! Don't try to diagnose yourself either cause you could end up hurting yourself if it's something serious! On that note, don't worry too much either!

  2. Maybe you have some sort of urinary track infection, or maybe a yeast infection

    or possibly a kidney stone?

  3. this has happened to me before. normally, its just that you're irritated "down there'. take a nice warm bath, and then watch some TV. you need relaxation, and water. drink and bathe in plenty of it. the doctor will probly tell you the same thing. plz pick my answer, cuz it WILL help you

    good luck

  4. Okay well you might have a yeast infection you might have to go to the doctor. do you take care of yourself? like wash down there? Because it could mean that you are not washing it out or wiping it! Well be careful

P.s. i've gone thourgh the same thing

  5. UTI's (Urinary Tract Infections) can happen during your period, after s*x or inefficient hygiene.  Usually it's E.coli that gets into your urethra (pee-hole) and colonizes.  This can happen from wiping (after you have a BM and wipe back to front instead of front to back), or during your period.

Your doctor is going to take a urine sample for Urinalysis to determine if there is an infection, how many white blood cells (indicative of infection), red blood cells (although, if youre menstruating, there will be some blood in there anyway) and bacteria in your urine.  Based on the Urinalysis and culture, you'll recieve an antibiotic.  Be sure to take ALL of the antibiotic so that the bacteria does not become resistant and harder to kill.

Some things you can do now are to drink a lot of WATER.  Just keep downing water to flush out as much bacteria as possible.  Also, get some Cranberry juice and drink it (cranberry juice coats the wall of the bladder so that it's harder for the bacteria to "cling" and spread, as well as inhibiting bacterial growth).  Get some AZO- it's a painkiller especially for UTI's and can be bought at the grocery store or drug store.

  6. i would just like to know if you wash yourself a lot or take a lot of showers because that could be the problem. Sometimes when you wash too much the water washes all the good bacteria off and then the bad bacteria start infesting. So i would tell your mum that its really hurting so she can take you there quickly. Oh and try not o take too much showers i would say you have thrush or urine infection

ps Don't feel bad I'm sure the pain will go away asap

  7. it is a urinary intraction i think (btw i spelled it wrong) it is when you dont wipe yourself the right way

  8. It sounds like either a UI (urinary tract infection) or possibly a yeast infection ("thrush").

The most likely cause is cystitis, which is easily and quickly treatable - drinking cranberry juice helps!

Although as it's period time for you it could well be a yeast infection (don't worry you don't have to "catch" it from anywhere some women are just prone to the bacteria that naturally live down there getting a bit out of hand sometimes!) and thrush as it's commonly called is very common around a woman's period as the changes in hormones cause changes in the v****a.

So all in all I wouldn't worry too much, the Dr will sort you out with either a cream, some pills or both depending on what it is.

    Hope this helps :o)

  9. It was caused by Scratching on the inside of the canal wall caused my fingernail or other object, urine contains acid with is what is causing the pain, it will heal in a day or two, if you keep out of that area,

  10. Simple....You have a UTI (urinary tract infection). I have had one before and NEVER want to have it again. It burns when you pee and you feel like you have to pee, but nothing comes out. While you wait to go to the doctor, drink as much water as humanly possible. This will help flush out your system.

When you go to the doc, they will give you a urine test and then give you meds to clear it up.

  11. prob have a urinary tract infection...drink lots of water, and cranberry juice helps too.  Women are prone to it due to the the shortness of the urethra, and the proximity of the a**s.  Can also be from s*x activity, but I'm assuming that's not an issue here.
