The former Rossoneri defender believes that the sale of the AC Milan duo to Paris Saint-Germain following the departure of several veterans is enough to give the manager sleepless nights.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gennaro-Gattuso-c14525 has expressed his resentment at AC Milan’s decision to sell Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and believes that the departure of the two stars is a huge blow to the club’s strength as an Italian giant.
The Rossoneri have finalized a deal for two of their best players in the squad with Paris Saint-Germain, and while the Brazilian has completed his move, the Swede is yet to agree upon a salary to finalize his deal with the French outfit.
Gattuso was of the view that the sale of the two pillars of AC Milan right after the departure of many of their veterans will have far reaching effects for the club.
The former Rossoneri defender insisted that having lost Alessandro Nesta already, and now with the departure of Thiago Silva, the club is left with no defender that can act as a reference point for the team in their defence.
The Sion player went on to hail http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Zlatan-Ibrahimovic-c38029 as a genuine match-winner, and stressed that the striker has the ability to single-handedly win you a number of games every season.
The former Rangers-man stated that the situation is getting from bad to worse for his former team, and insisted that the circumstances are nothing less than a nightmare for Massimiliano Allegri.
While talking to the press, the 34-year-old said:
“Without http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alessandro-Nesta-c4735, Milan have no reference points in defence. Ibrahimovic, meanwhile, wins you 10 games a season on his own. If I was Allegri, I’d have trouble sleeping.”
Gattuso was among the many veterans who left the club, following the expiry of their contract with AC Milan at the end of the 2011-12 season.
The Sion veteran was adamant that the Milan outfit had offered him a contract, but he was convinced that he was not wanted at the club, and thus took his decision to seek a move elsewhere.
